Pricing FAQ

How is billing calculated?

CloudMapper uses simple monthly billing through AWS Marketplace:

  • CloudMapper License: Fixed $49/month fee
  • EC2 Compute: Standard AWS EC2 pricing for your chosen instance type
  • EBS Storage: Standard AWS EBS pricing (typically $8-20/month)
  • Data Transfer: Standard AWS data transfer rates apply

The $49/month CloudMapper fee is charged as long as you have an active subscription, regardless of whether the instance is running or stopped.

Are there any setup fees or long-term contracts?

No setup fees or long-term contracts required. You can:

  • Start and stop anytime
  • Pay only for what you use
  • Upgrade or downgrade plans as needed
  • Cancel at any time with no penalties

Enterprise customers may choose multi-year agreements for additional discounts.

Is CloudMapper available in AWS GovCloud or other regions?

Currently, CloudMapper is only available in AWS Commercial regions. We do not support:

  • AWS GovCloud (US) - Not currently supported
  • AWS China regions - Not available
  • AWS Secret regions - Not available
  • AWS Top Secret regions - Not available

If you have specific compliance requirements or need deployment in specialized regions, please contact our support team to discuss potential future availability.

  • Demo Environment: Request a guided demo with our solutions team
  • Proof of Concept: Enterprise customers can request a 30-day evaluation license
  • Minimal Commitment: Start with just 1 hour of usage to test basic functionality

Contact us to schedule a demo or discuss evaluation options.

What instance size should I choose?

Instance size recommendations based on your AWS environment:

  • t3.medium: Small to medium environments (1-20 VPCs) - Recommended for most users
  • t3.large: Large environments (20-50 VPCs, complex topologies)
  • t3.xlarge: Very large environments (50+ VPCs)
  • m5.large or m6i.large: Enterprise deployments requiring high CPU performance
Coming Soon: AWS Graviton2 (ARM64) support will provide 20% better price-performance than x86 equivalents. CloudMapper ARM64 AMIs are planned for future releases.

You can change instance types anytime by stopping the instance, changing the instance type in the EC2 console, and restarting. All your data and configuration will be preserved. Consider AWS Compute Savings Plans or Reserved Instances for additional savings up to 72%.
